Shqipe Selimi is part of the biggest party in Republic of Kosovo, Lëvizja VETËVENDOSJE. She was elected as an MP in the elected government by majority vote in 2021. Shqipe is a member of the Commission for Security and Defense Affairs.
She has a Masters on Economics and commits to gender equality in security forces as well as creating and advancing the legal basis for combating trafficking with human beings.
