Nicholas Evans serves as CEO and Co-Founder of Hopeland, an organization which advocates for vulnerable children around the world by testing and implementing innovative ways to prevent and solve the issue of family separation. Nicholas spoke at the Global Leader Summit in London in 2023 organized by the Interparliamentary Task Force on Human Trafficking. At this event he led the panel on Orphanage Trafficking which acted as a catalyst for campaigning and advocacy at the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) later that year. Hopeland led a petition campaign which received over 60,000 signatures calling on all member nations of the IPU to sign a Resolution calling for an end to orphanage trafficking and model legislation in their countries to tackle this practice. As a direct result of this petition and campaigning work by Hopeland’s partner Senator Linda Reynolds the IPU passed this resolution unanimously. This was a great achievement and puts impetus for change at the forefront of the global conversation on this issue. Prior to joining Hopeland in 2014, Nicholas spent ten years with Addaction, the largest organization for Drug and Alcohol treatment in the United Kingdom. His work has been cited by former British prime ministers Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.
