# Interparliamentary Taskforce on Human Trafficking (ITHT) > The first global consortium to convene sitting lawmakers, government leaders and lived-experience experts around a single goal: ending human trafficking through legislation. ITHT is a US 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 93-1513306) whose members are current and former parliamentarians, ministers, prosecutors and survivor leaders from more than 30 countries. ITHT produces model legislation and legislative toolkits, and coordinates lawmakers across borders. Its flagship programme addresses orphanage trafficking: the recruitment of children into residential institutions for profit.
